About Me

My photo
I have discovered it is really hard to be Queen in a household with 3 princesses! Somebody is always borrowing my tiara! Well in between hunting my stuff down I am the proclaimed Queen in the Land of fluff (where my husband swears one day that he will die from glitter lung (you get the picture!) Besides that I am a dieting, exercising, crafting, biblestudying kind of girl.

New job

I started a new part time job this week after being home with my kids for 15 years.  In starting this new job I am learning new things, meeting new people, encountering people in different stages & seasons of life.  It is fun to brush shoulders with so many different types of people.

The main change is that I have decided that I have way under use my crockpot in the past.  It is now my best friend!  I will post some of my favorite recipes in upcoming post.  Hope that everyone is having a good week!

Writing

I love pens, colored pencils, new journals, postcards etc..  It makes my heart skip a beat & my mind thinks of all the things I could write, doodle & create. I have always enjoyed the thrill of the written word.  I confess I have notes that are 20 years old that my husband wrote me when we were dating.

I have been surprised in some ways that God has opened up a letter writing ministry for me.  However, in other ways looking back it seems like such an inevitable path for me. One I enjoy, adds to my prayer life, and God is teaching me about mercy through it.  Seeking justice is another lesson I am learning.  I find it curious that God would soften my heart and give my eyes a softer vision for mercy, before he fired my heart for justice.  I guess you can't really know what is justice or what is revenge if your not seeing it through the lens of mercy.

That is all I am comfortable sharing about such a service really done for God's eyes.  The verse/word for this year 2013 was "mercy" and my verse was:

"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8 NIVUK)

God is so good at making beautiful quilts of our lives, when we give it to Him to sew, piece and finally bind it all together
With an eternally binding.  Thank you Jesus!
