About Me

My photo
I have discovered it is really hard to be Queen in a household with 3 princesses! Somebody is always borrowing my tiara! Well in between hunting my stuff down I am the proclaimed Queen in the Land of fluff (where my husband swears one day that he will die from glitter lung (you get the picture!) Besides that I am a dieting, exercising, crafting, biblestudying kind of girl.

Gracie's bday

Well last week was my baby's birthday. Gracie turned 6 years old! Wow! I can't believe it. Gracie is growing into a beautiful, fun, smart girl! We celebrated by waking her up on her birthday and having a pancake breakfast. The birthday girl wanted her pancakes in a mouse shape. (Mickey mouse looking) which we were glad to provide her. I used kiwi's, chocolate chips and bananas to make the eyes, nose and mouth.
Gracie's bday fell on a school day so Daddy went up to school and brought her subway for lunch and ate with her in the school cafeteria. I brought cookies to hand out to her class for snack. That evening she had Daisy's (girl scouts) and we brought a birthday cake for snack, - then we went to dinner to our favorite Mexican restaurant - Los Cabos. Which had a live band playing, and tons of salsa - Gracie was in hog heaven! She and her sister (Kaylee) even got up and danced! Fun! Fun! Fun!
Here is my families favorite Pancake recipe (They like it better than Bisquick)
2 eggs
4 tablespoons butter/margarine, melted
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tablespoon sugar
2 cups of flour
6 teaspoons of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
beat eggs, add milk and margarine - stir until fully mixed. Add dry ingredients mix well. Heat griddle -spray with Pam, then pour batter onto griddle, flip when pancake top is full of bubbles, let cook on other side briefly - then remove. Serve hot with syrup!
I hope you enjoy your family enjoys this recipe as much as mine does!!!
